This is beyond belief. She should at the very least be sacked from parliament without pension or parachute payemnts. If anyone else had been found guilty of embezzlement of this magnitude they would be locked up. Instead, she's told to apologise and she can expect to be bumped up to a first class seat on the gravy train, namely a seat in the House of Lords.
Unfortunately, they realise that they are not accountable. At least not to us. Even the party oligarchs have no influence over those people who have no further political ambitions.
