It's not that Kitty Ussher did it, because they all did it.  It's the fact that she says she did nothing wrong. 

Again, the gap in perception between politicians and the general public is huge.

Politicians, and even journalists, are focusing on her role at the Treasury, but it's the rediculous second homes allowance and the whole question of MPs' expenses in general that are to blame.  And, of course, MPs' abuse of them.
